My Lovely England

Since I was a young boy I wanted to go to England, because two of my favourite rock bands are from there and when I saw pictures of them in their cities or videos of the different concerts or festivals that they made there for example in Donnignton, I like this country specially London.

But when I grew up I fell in love of this country because of their medieval history and the different places of this amazing period like Castles , Abbeys and Museums.

If someday I go to England I would like to do a city tour in London, and I will go to the Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben, The Tower of London, London Eye, the different Museums and the Greenwich Observatory.

I would like to live and work there after finish my carrer (or in another Europe country), because I would like to bring my sons a new future and I think that we have to move out our places to reborn and extend our limits to learn not only other language or other culture, I mean learn about Life.

Movies the perfect choice!

I love watching Movies, and I prefer this than Reading or Listen Radio, because I dont have to imagine the reality behind the scenes.

Anyway, if I have to choose between Television or the Cinema, without any doubt I choose seeing movies in the big screen eating popcorn next to my girlfriend but the movie must be in the real language and not translated because I prefer to hear the real voices of the actors. I think that the cinema involved a person and give someone the experience to belong to that world, maybe its for the surround or the darkness of the room, but its awesome.

I like the movies which can make me laugh at loud, furthermore if the movie have a lot of comedians together like the Adam Sandler´s movies, and I think that the best movie of him it is him last one called "Grown ups" totally recomended for everyone, to see it in family with your girlfriend/boyfriend or alone, because I saw it about 12 times and everytime I laught.

On the other hand I dont like the Chilean films because have a sad background I mean that the quality of the image isnt good.

My Term.rar

To me this new Term is a kind of a "rar" archive, we have to see a lot of subjects in a very short time, but honestly I prefer this than fact that the teacher have to cut subjects or teach less lessons, because we can see all the topics, and our preparation for the next year would be better than the other way, the only problem of this is just we would have class in the middle of the summer with the hot and the suffocating sun, and I think that class and hot´s days can´t be together in a sentence, because when you mix this two things you obtain a poor concentration.

However, thanks this second half of the year, in this moment I work in the clinic as an assistant and have the opportunity to learn more about my future job. But in the other hand, the sad part its that I have to see less my girlfriend, because she, who study Ingeneering in Aliments (next to me), has class in her other faculty, so we can´t see our a lot or have lunch together.

Humans v/s Mutants

Since I was a kid I have liked the stuff about superheroes or people with different kinds of powers, and I think that Stan Lee and his own world called Marvel have what I`m looking for, and what better option than the X-Men. They are a group of superheroes who have different powers, abilities or gifts, from going trough walls to being able to manipulate the mind of the persons. Therefore the protagonists are mutants, in others words, they are people who have mutations in their DNA and that´s why they have different skills.

In the Cinema there are 4 movies about the X-Men and I saw the 4 movies I could seethe last movie at the cinema with my girlfriend. The plot of this film is about two guys who met each other and who have the same feeling about the mutants because they are mutants, I am talking about Erik (Magneto) and Xavier (Professor X) but they have one very important opinion which separated these friends, in one side there is Xavier who have the vision about a world with humans and mutants living in peace, but in another side Erik think that this kind of reasoning can´t exist and only one specie can live in the Earth.

The First movie called "X-men" its about the conflict between Professor X´s X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants with their leader Magneto who try to mutate important people form ONU with a machine that he built and thus make felt to the politics the discrimination they have for be mutants.

Then "X2" had its premiere with a lot of sorprises and new characters with more mutations. In this case the X-men and the Brotherhood united against a genocidal militar scientific who try to finish all the mutants in the whole world using the powers of Professor X.

"X-Men 3: the Last Stand" is better than the previous and the central point is about a kid who has the abbility to pacify or take off the mutation to the mutants when they are near this boy, so A pharmaceutical company make an antidote to the mutant gene, provoking controversy in the mutant community and human comunity, becuase we have to understand that being mutant is the worst.
And for the last, "X-men: First Class" opened in June and with this movie we can understand why Professor X and Magneto are so different and how started the Professor X´s X-men and Magneto´s Brotherhood of Mutants.

The Knight in Rusty Armor!!!

I have to say that I was very bad in all about Language, I really hate it, and I always had bad marks when I had to read books. I read the books, I told my friends who didn´t read it a summary, but I had the bad marks, not them :(
At the school I read a lot of books but there were two, which I liked a lot, Demian by Herman Hesse and The Knight in Rusty Armor by Robert Fisher. These and Music inspired me, because thanks to this kind of books I could see the world with different eyes...

 I like the books about mysterous thing or secrets societies, in fact the only book that I bought with my own money was the "Enigma Sagrado" which is a Documental about the templar knights, religion, sects, secret documents and a lot of thing about the past, the present and the future :) I don´t have a favourite Writer because I prefer to read about something and not about what does the writer wrote.

Now I´m going to tell you about a very important book to me wich is the written by R. Fisher. This one I read it when I was 12 years old  and I liked it from the beggining. It´s about a knight who always had been ready for the battle and he was very good in what he does. The problem started when he decided to doesn´t take off his armor to be ready. He has married with a maiden who he rescue in a mission and he has a son. One day his wife very sad told him that if he doesn´t take off his armor,she an her son left the house, because their had a just a photo to remeber him. So the Knight try to release form his jail but he can´t, and the wife thunk that her husband didn´t want to do it an she left the house. The knight met Merlin (the famous Magician) and he told him that he had to cross 3 castles, but he always had to walk on the road of True. He had to pass the Castle of Knowledge, the Castle of Silence and the Castle of the Brave and Courage. The meaning of each castle is that he need to take off his armor only when he understand how was the feeling of his family and when he felt this with his true tears and feelings and understandig could realease form his course.

For me this book is very important because I try to take out my brother from his world full of addiction, with it, and the saddest thing is I lost the book.

For me this is the most amazing photo about what people feel when they don´t like something :)

I don´t remember who took this picture because this was taken when my girlfriend and I were still in school, but probably my father took it because the camera belongs to him (and he is like a boy with candies xD) Furthermore my mother is in the picture too, so I think my father was the photographer.

The day when this photo was taken, it was a special day. We were in National Holidays (but not for this it was a special day) and my family and me always go to "fondas" in Peñaflor (Rockaflower xD) in this date, but that year something changed... I rang my girlfriend and invited her to go with us, and she said: "ok",  but the important thing was that my girlfriend never went to a "Fonda" before :) so she was very nervous while we were going to there.

We spent a great moment and we did a lot of thing like eating "empanadas" and "churros", we played funny and difficult games such as target shooting, hopscotch, taca-taca and we saw a lot of animals for example hens with their chiks, horses and ponies, and dogs which wanted to take the meal from people (specially drunk people).

After we played we went to a "stand" and bought two "anticuchos". Everything was fine until we began to eat it, because the meat wasn´t cooked at all, but the worst part in this love story (L) was when we started to think that perhaps the meat wasn´t from a cow, it was more similar to dog´s meat... :( I really didn´t mind but to my girlfriend this scene made her feel sick, and that´s why he had that face in the pciture :D

I like this picture because it reflects the real sensation that we had in that funny moment and moreover everytime when I see this picture I can´t stop to think how lovely my girlfriend looked with that woolen dress :$ 

Strops

For me Sports are something necessary to save our short life, but only because with some kinds of sports (any sport in fact) we can decrease the levels of diseases related to heart or brain. I think that sports are really important to people for knowing other people and this is very important to the evolution of the brain and mind as when we visit a lot of places or countries because we see and know diferents realities.

Furthermore with the sports we can de-stress and help each other to be more happy in life but when we win xD

I  always get bored and tired when I see the matches of any sports on TV but when Colo-Colo (the greatest football team ever) is playing for me is another thing, but now they are loosing all the time, and that´s bad.

But in another side I love to play sports, every sports from football to basketball and from atletism to swimming, however I think I like the sports when I have a lot of contact more than others, because sometimes I can hit people or better than that I can fight with people like martial arts.

My life like a sportsman began when I was in the school and I entered the Atletism Team, I had a lot of qualities for the sport but I didnt want to run, run and run, so I changed to the Voleiball Team and I was very important in the team in spite of this we never won a match :(

In a paralel existence I belong to a taekwondo team near my house (30 minutes from my house) and there I learned a lot of things not only about the sports, others things like respet, honor, friendship, etc. and I think for me it was very important. I remember I always had to fight with my brother and we created a spectacular fight, sometimes he was the winner and other times I was (I think most of the fights it was me the winner :)), and the best of all were the tournaments and the posibilities to kick the ass of other persons, we did martials arts forms and use martial arts weapons like "nunchaku". And the saddest day of my life came to me 4 years ago when I, for a rare reason, began to loose my force and mobility of my fingers (the smallest first) then my hand, and to finish my arm, in the beginning it was my left arm but then I began to have problems in the other arm, so I went to see the doctor (neurosurgeon) and he told me I have a congenital disease that increases for the kind of the sports I played. I had to operate my elbow and from that moment I had to (I needed to) renounce the throne.

And so it was I found the magic of eating :D

Last year with help of my girlfriend (a fundamental pillar in my life) I returned to the sport life and entered the basketball team, and today I go to the swiming pool everytime I can, but there are some types of exercises that I can't do like the "lizards" or some exercises with weight. 

My Notebook :)

My favourite piece of tecnhology is my Notebook!. It is one of my very important possesion that I have, I think without it my life as student, boyfriend and musician would be altered, because I always have to see my digital classroom (u-cursos) to study, download class, notes and a lot of information about the different subjects. Furthermore I can talk with my girlfriend while I am watching Tv, studying or eating, and when I want to learn some songs or melodies I can search it on the net, and for me this is a real help because some scores are very expensive.

This amazing object got to my hands as a Birthday and Christmas gift (and I had to take out some money from the bank), and my parents gave me this when I entered university because I needed it to program in a subject, and besides my future notebook would help me in my studies.

I use it everyday, whenever I can, and the first thing that I do when I turn it on is log in to the internet and check my u-cursos, hotmail and facebook (in this order), then I log out from Internet and enter again, but this time I do what I have to do.

Before I became a future Odontologist I had a lot of games like Starcraf (the best and the most important games from all the times, to me), Nosferatu (a vampire slayer´s game) and others that in this moment I can´t remember... but my girlfriend said  to me I had to desinstall it because I need concentration. But I still have installed Starcraft jejeje but I don´t use it.

I like my Notebook, it is black and it has a photo of me and my girlfriend as background. the only thing I hate is the fact that I broke the battey and to use it I always need to plug it in or stick it with scotch.

For me, my notebook has been one of the best gifts that my parents could give me.

That Metal Show!!!

This is a different kind of show in the long list about the Late or Talk Show, because this is not only a show based on interviews, it is a show about the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Music, System and Life with the real members of the band as participants.

"TMS" is host by Eddie Trunk (periodist, music historian, radio personality), Jim Florentine (stand up comedian) and Don Jamieson (stand up comedian). The particular thing, which gives the magic to show, are the several segments and these are:

1.- Interviews with Heavy Metal musicians: in this one the trio aks, debates and talks about life, past and present and other things of the musicians or the band.

2.- The Pick of the Week, in this section this people show or talk about the last news from the differents bands like tours, concerts, books, diaries, new albums or singles, etc.
3.- Stump the Trunk, for me is the most funny and amazing part of the show, because in this time the audience ask to Eddie (that ´s why the name of this segment is Stump the Trunk ) any question about Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Music from all times :) and the best of all, if he doesn´t answer correctly or if he doesn´t know the answer the person, who asked, him has the posibility to put his hand in the Eddie´s Gifts Box and win a lot of price from albums to Rock Band Game with the Guitar :O and obviously the feeling to defeat one of the most knowners of the Music History

4.- Whatever Happened To, here Eddie Jim and Don talk about what happened with some missed bands or musicians, and they tell us about what they (musicians) are doing now
5.- Throwdown, this is a extreme segment where the hosts and guests debate great moments and figures in metal history like what band is the best Iron Maiden vs Judas Priest (in this episode they sayed that Iron Maiden is better than Judas Priest but maybe without JP, Iron Maiden would not exist)

For me this tv show is the greatest thing that men could do...

My Career-Related Website

Now I’m going to write about a real innovation from the ICBM (uchile) to the people who learn anatomy. This is a multimedia atlas with a lot of photos, and animations. But you need to be registered.

The first time I visited this website I had the final test of the subject, but I didn’t know how to use it. One year later I learned to use it and I think this is the best website ever, and the best of all, thanks to this when I have the anatomy practical test I have good marks. I visit this site constantly to study, and when I have a Test I always do all the activities.

First you have the Atlas and different options:
a) Section: photos of transverse section in different parts of the body
b) Topography: photos about the structures and related things
c) Radiology: radiology to see the clinical concepts
d) “Neuroanatomy”: for studying the neurology.

Then you can choose if you want to study the thorax, abdomen, etc. And you can also do activities which are photos with structures marked.  You have to write the name of the structure and after that you can compare answers.

Behind My Music

Music is everything to me. I don’t have the gift of dancing but I think it´s because of that I have the gift of making music, and playing it. I am a person who has two different roads which join in perfect art in my brain…

When I was a kid, music was just music to me, some funny melodies at “jardin infantil” like mazapan or something like that. But one day, at the age of 6, in an act of bravery I changed the station of the radio and tuned in to 88.9 (Futuro Radio), from one moment to another I was petrified at the sound of the gods of music (in that moment) it was Paranoid performed by Black Sabbath with Ozzy on vocals. From that day I had a brain wash and I began to listen to Rock / Metal music.
One year later I discovered two bands that have something in common: the perfect sound. They are Iron Maiden (with Bruce on vocals) and Judas Priest (with Rob Halford) who inspired me to buy an electric guitar and learn and practice on my own.

The other part of my musical life began at school, I started to learn how to read and write music, and the best of all how to reproduce the sound with different instruments (well, in this case it was only a flute, but afterwards, others). With this new knowledge, I had the honor of meeting some of the greatest in the world of what in Spanish we call “Musica Docta”, such as the Great Johann Sebastian Bach.

The funny thing is that there are two famous guitar players who play with this different kind of music and make a rock version of the Docta music like the 5^th Beethoven Symphony performed by Yngwie Malsmteen.

I Was & I Am

Hi, I´m Diego a student of Odontology at the Univesidad de Chile, but before this I was someone who had to find his own way in life. First I wanted with all my head, mind and heart to become in a neurosurgeon because one of the reasons was that I damaged two very important nerves of my arm and because of this I had to finish some sports which I played like voleyball, basketball and martial arts. However I began my university studies in the Faculty of Engineering at the same University were I study today. Then I left the career and some specific friends due to the fact that I could never work in an office. This was a very important decision, in one side I had my parents with a lot of problems and quarreling but on another side I had someone who gave me the strength to do it, that person it was (she is and she will be) my beautiful girlfriend Elita and she gave me an exit, a solution, a dream.
Now I have a lot of dreams, I have a beautiful life, a lot of joy and the best of all, I like what I am doing in this moment, I hope to finish soon to see what is waiting for me in life. And remember "if you are not part of the solution, you will always be part of the problem"
